Is there word תוכחה really derived from נוכח or כח?

QUESTION: I heard that you were running out of things to do for your book , so I wanted to suggest the following that I heard from someone and ask if you ever heard of it and/or could supply a source: Tochekhah (rebuke) and hochakhah (proof) are both related to nochakh – in that in both cases you make something “present” and “clear” to the other person. As such, Tochekhah is no longer a rebuke or reprimand, but rather a way in which you simply explain to another person what the situation is regarding the sin that he is committing. Eh?
