What does the root קפח mean and where does it come from (it’s not in Tanach!)?

QUESTION: What does the root קפח mean? It doesn’t seem to be of Biblical origin. Is it from Aramaic? It seems to mean so many things: “withhold”, “chop off”, “bury”, “arched”, “humpback”, etc. What’s its core meaning, and is it a cognate of any word in Tanakh?
