Our founder

Rabbi  Yehoshua (Jeremy) Steinberg was born in NYC, and following high school studied at Israeli yeshivot, receiving semicha from Yeshivat ITRI in 1981.
After completing a BA in history with a minor in computer science, and an MA in education, Yehoshua taught in NYC Jewish schools, joined the US Army Reserve as a chaplain and served as a software engineer at AT&T and Digital Equipment Corp. Immediately following the tragic events of 9/11/01, Yehoshua was called up to active duty, serving for the next 12 years at a variety of US and overseas locations, including multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Rabbi Steinberg has long held a passion for the profundity of Biblical Hebrew and founded the Veromemanu Foundation in 2002 to promote comprehensive research of the Holy Tongue. Yehoshua is currently the Director and Editor-In-Chief of Veromenanu. Yehoshua currently lives in the hills surrounding Jerusalem with his wife and children.
